What Are The Benefits Of Magnesium?

How many of us know of someone who suffers from aches and pains? OR, how many of YOU suffer with aches and pains? Do you take it lightly and just accept that it's a natural part of aging? Well, you shouldn't.

While the aches and pains are a signal for us to act, we don't need to accept that this is our "new norm," because we are aging. So, what can we do? My lovelies, I'm glad you asked!😉

Let me introduce you to your future best friend-MAGNESIUM! According to Harvard T.H. Chan, "the mineral plays an important role in assisting more than 300 enzymes to carry out various chemical reactions in the body such as building proteins and strong bones, and regulating blood sugar, blood pressure, and muscle and nerve functions."

As you can see, Magnesium plays vital roles within our body and if we don't have a sufficient supply, all the aforementioned areas begin to malfunction. Over the years, I've read across several documents and research papers that in western civilizations, most of the population is not getting sufficient amounts of magnesium.

There are several reasons why we may not be getting an adequate supply of magnesium-possibilities include:

➡️Depletion of soil conditions

➡️The amount of chemicals found in our food today

If you are experiencing some of the following, it MAY be an indication that you aren't getting an adequate supply of magnesium:

✍You Get Leg Cramps, Involuntary Muscle or Eye Twitches

✍You Take a Calcium Only Supplement

✍You Don’t Sleep Well Or Have Insomnia

✍Your Life Is Stressful

✍You Suffer From Anxiety or Panic Attacks

✍You Have High Blood Pressure or Heart Disease

✍You Have Stomach Troubles

✍You Can’t Shake That Tired Feeling

✍You Get Migraine Headaches

✍You Suffer From PMS

✍You Take Prescription Or Over The Counter Medications

✍You Drink Caffeinated or Alcoholic Beverages Regularly

✍ You’re Pre-Diabetic Or Have Type II Diabetes

✍ You’ve Been Diagnosed With Osteoporosis

Rectifying a shortage of magnesium isn't difficult; the mineral can be found in foods such as:

✍ Dark chocolate

✍ Avocados

✍ Nuts

✍ Legumes

✍ Tofu (this one can be controversial, but I recommend using organic if you choose to use this and eat in moderation)

✍ Seeds

✍ Grains

✍ Some fatty fish ( I will always recommend a plant based diet, but I'm including this for those who prefer to leave this in their diet)

✍ Bananas (Sebi approved the burro bananas and the baby bananas)

✍ Leafy greens

As I mentioned earlier, the depletion of our soil may be a reason why we aren't getting sufficient magnesium, so it should go without saying that eating foods which SHOULD be rich in magnesium, may not be.

Therefore, if you're experiencing any symptoms of magnesium deficiency, I recommend taking a supplement-recognizing that not all supplements are created equally. Do your research, make your decision and be consistent with taking it.

Our preferred way of taking magnesium is through our spray, which contains magnesium chloride, dissolved in spring water and has essential oils added to it. While you will find studies which support transdermal application of magnesium, there are studies which say there isn't sufficient data to support this claim.

There is no once size fits all for anything in life, so we recommend trying out various supplements (after doing your research) and seeing what works for you.

I had never heard about magnesium spray until a few years back, one of my Bermudian customers asked me whether I could make it for her. After learning more about magnesium and it's benefits, I decided to assist. She continued on purchasing the oil until I left Bermuda, as she experienced the benefits of it-she was actually kind enough to post a review on my website once I launched in the U.K.😊

Another of my first customers to purchase our magnesium spray in Bermuda had fibromyalgia and raved about the relief she experienced with it. She also made continued purchases until I left the island.

Personally, Ive used it at times when Ive had migraines (which I now experience rarely) and it has provided me with relief. Ive also tried it as a deodorant, HOWEVER, if your body hasn't transitioned to using natural deodorants, you will likely need to try a simple detox in order to use magnesium or other natural deodorants. I will likely do a blog about this at a later date, but if you want to learn more about this, feel free to send us a message through our Facebook or Instagram page, or email us at admin@chaste.com.co.

Applying magnesium spray MAY cause a tingling sensation to occur on the site it was applied, however, this is usually only momentary.  Some mind this sensation...some don't...especially because it shouldn't last long.  I have read that the tingling is an indication that you are deficient in the mineral and as mentioned, the sensation shouldn't last long and SHOULD die out all together with continued use.

If the tingling lasts longer than you'd like, don't give up using the magnesium, rather, spray it onto the soles of clean feet, rub it in and cover with socks. This is definitely the method I recommend for children, regardless if they experience tingling or not.

Another option is to apply to your scalp-while I've never tried this method, one of my U.K. customer does and I've since read articles about applying it this way.

In summary, magnesium is key mineral and most of us are likely lacking in our consumption of it.  There are various magnesium supplements on the market, but do your research and see what works for you.  If you wish to try our magnesium spray, we currently have it on special-visit https://chaste.com.co/collections/health-wellness.
